Superbill

An itemised receipt a client submits to their insurer or funding body for reimbursement when the practitioner bills privately rather than billing the payer directly.

A superbill typically lists the practitioner and their credentials, the client, dates of service, service descriptions or codes, amounts charged and amounts paid.

In Canada, families often submit similar documentation to provincial funding programs; wording matters, because clinical-sounding language can complicate reimbursement for some programs.
