Treatment fidelity
The degree to which an intervention is delivered as it was designed: by the practitioner, by staff, and by the family at home.
When results do not match the plan, fidelity is checked before the plan is judged. A procedure that was never run as written has not actually been tested.
Fidelity is usually measured with a short checklist scored during observation, and is one reason between-session data from the home matters.
