Aim star
A marker placed on a chart showing the target performance rate and the date by which it should be reached.
The aim star turns a goal into something visible: draw a line from current performance to the star and you can see whether the current celeration will get there in time.
If the data is tracking below the line to the aim, that is the signal to change something rather than wait.
